Resumen

RESUMEN

Por más que en la actualidad se encuentre enteramente eclipsada, la actividad minera ha contribuido en notable medida a forjar la organización del espacio contemporáneo de Cantabria, tanto a escalas medias como sobre todo de detalle. Su herencia se nos hace patente hoy bajo la forma de patrimonio industrial y territorial. El texto reconstruye la historia de uno de los más tempranos espacios mineros de Cantabria, cuyos orígenes contemporáneos se encuentran a mediados del siglo XIX, al tiempo que identifica, desde una perspectiva funcional y espacial, los principales elementos patrimoniales del conjunto.

RÉSUMÉ

Paysage et patrimoine miniers à Udías (Cantabria, Espagne).- Même si aujord'hui l'activité minière est entièrement perimée, elle a largement contribué autrefois à l'aménagement du territoire en Cantabria, aussi bien à une échelle moyenne que sur le détail. L'héritage de cette activité se fait évident aujourd'hui sous la forme d'un patrimoine industriel et territorial important. L'article reconstruit l'histoire d'une des premières zones minières de Cantabria dont les origines se trouvent au milieu du XIXème siècle, et en même temps il identifie les éléments les plus importants de cet ensemble d'un point de vue fonctionnel et spatial.

ABSTRACT

Mining landscape and industrial heritage in Udías (Cantabria, Spain).- Although its completly obsolescence, mining activity has contributed sensibly to the modern land use organization in Cantabria, and this to a medium and detailed scales. Today the remains of this activity constitute an considerable heritage, both industrial and territorial. This work traces the history of one of the earliest mining areas in Cantabria, whose origins go back to the middle of XIX century, and identifies the most important features of the phemonena, from a functional and spatial point of view.
