La fotografía urbana en la geografía española

RESUMEN

El principal objetivo de esta investigación es averiguar el significado que la fotografía urbana ha tenido en los estudios de los geógrafos españoles realizados en el período entre 1940 y 1975. Durante esa etapa, el análisis de la morfología urbana y el paisaje fueron los temas centrales en los trabajos de geografía urbana. Por otro lado, se trata de identificar las posibles estrategias iconográficas, intereses y estéticas particulares en la disciplina geográfica. La finalidad es reflexionar sobre la representación urbana de los geógrafos a través tanto del análisis de fotografías como de los textos que las acompañan.

RÉSUMÉ

La photographie urbaine dans le géographie espagnole.- Le principal objectif de cette recherche est examiner la signification que la photographie urbaine a eu dans les études des géographes espagnols effectués dans la période entre 1940 et 1975. Pendant cette étape, l'analyse de la morphologie urbaine et le paysage ont été les sujets centraux dans les travaux de géographie urbaine. D'autre part, il s'agit d'identifier les possibles stratégies iconographiques, les intérêts et esthétiques particuliers dans la discipline géographique. Le but est réfléchir sur la représentation urbaine des géographes en partant tant du l'analyse de photographies comme des textes qui les accompagnent.

ABSTRACT

The urban photography in the spanish geography.- The main objective of this research is to find out the potentialities that the urban photography has had in the studies that the spanish geographers carried out in the period between 1940 and 1975. During that period, the analysis of the urban morphology and the landscape were the central subjects in urban geography studies. On the other hand, it is about identifying the possible particular iconography strategies, interests and aesthetics in the geographic discipline. The aim of this research is also to reflect on the urban representation of the geographers analyzing not only the photographies but also the texts that accompany them.
