Abstract

The article reflects on the concept of mining heritage and the need to consider the mining landscape as a key element in a process of local development that takes into account heritage revaluation initiatives (e.g. with the tourism). The article analyzes the case of Bages region in Barcelona (Catalonia), where potash mining has changed (perhaps degraded?) the landscape of certain municipalities.
