Tab 1: Beginning
-
Submission language: you must select the language (Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, etc) in which the work you are submitting is written.
-
Section: if there is no monograph open, the platform, by default, will include your work in the non-specific section (Articles-miscellaneous) without you having to do anything. If there is an open monograph, a drop-down menu will appear where you will have to choose the corresponding monograph (with its title) or, if applicable, the general section (Articles, reviews, in memoriam, varia).
- Submission requirements that you should check if your work meets them
-
Comments to the editor: Authors may include comments to the editor describing their work and any other indications they consider appropriate. If there is any conflict of interest, it must be indicated in this section. It can also be used, optionally, to suggest reviewers or to oppose them, in this case, justifying the reasons.
- Submit as Author
Tab 2: Upload the submission. All necessary files must be uploaded here
Tab 3: Metadata.
-
Title/subtitle/prefix: the title must be included in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, etc. To add both languages, clicking on the text box will display both languages (when one of the two languages is not complete, the globe icon will be red; if both languages are complete, the icon will be green). The subtitle is optional and, if it is included, it is not necessary to include a colon (‘:’) at the end of the title. The prefix is also optional and can be added to the title. If added, the subtitle and the prefix must also be included in Spanish and English.
-
Abstract: as in the title, it must be included in English and in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese.
-
In the Authorship and contributors section, the information of the authors (full name, affiliation - name of the institution and country -, e-mail address, and ORCID identifier) should be included for each one of them. Use the ‘Add contributor’ button to include new persons.
-
In the Additional Improvements
-
Section Languages should identify the language in which the original manuscript is written.
-
The Discipline is optional, although it allows better indexing of the article in certain databases.
- Keywords(3, 4, 5 or 6): entered one by one (type enter or enter after each keyword for the system to incorporate it), in English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese (pay attention to the globe icon: it must be green).
-
Supporting Agencies is the optional section for incorporating funding, this information should be added later to the article if it is accepted. It allows to better identify the sources of funding in the databases.
-
-
In the Citations section: bibliographical references should be included, in alphabetical order, each on one line. Since the reviewers do not have access to this information, the references of the authors can be kept (this only affects the data typed on the platform: in the manuscript the references themselves must be blinded). All references must include the DOI in the format https://doi.org/xxx (it is recommended to locate it in the original source or by using CrossRef's metadata search tool). This information is crucial for bibliometric indicators, so please cooperate as much as possible. Please note that if, during the review process, references undergo changes, they should be modified both in the manuscript and on the website.
FORMAT
Papers should be sent in Word format (.doc), Book Antiqua font, size 14, with one and a half spaces between lines and justification on both sides.
