Abstract
On the basis of previous inquiries of prestigious authorities on roman Law and with the aim of making progress in our study about the conception, relevance and importance of the census populi, a new point of view is brought out in the present research -according to the plot lines of Professor Quintana- in order to analyze another legal feature related to the census populi, that is: Its probative purpose. The fact of an individual being registered in the census after having the profesio censualis done becomes a reliable proof which would turn him into a legal Roman citizen. Unlike some other authors who just think about the Roman census as a mere register, the undersigned hereby define it as a legal institution which shapes and establishes the Roman citizenship..Downloads
