Vol. 36 No. 1 (2026): RIDROM
RIDROM
RIDROM, The International Review of Roman Law (Revista Internacional de Derecho Romano) was established in 2008 under the auspices of the Ibero-American Association of Roman Law and the University of Castilla-La Mancha. This was made possible by the initiative, hard work, and selfless dedication of Dr. Gustavo Raúl de las Heras Sánchez, Professor of Roman Law, who directed and published the journal for over 14 years, up to and including issue number 27. The journal's objective is to disseminate research findings within the field of Roman Law and its reception. It was founded with the vocation of transcending geographical boundaries and remains open to all individuals and institutions sharing this goal. Furthermore, it serves to communicate the activities of the Ibero-American Association, as well as news and information of interest to the Romanist community. In the new stage beginning with issue number 28 (2022), the journal aims to improve various formal aspects to increase its presence in international databases and enhance its current rankings. To achieve this, it relies on the invaluable support of the Publications Service of the University of Oviedo and is hosted on the University of Oviedo’s REUNIDO platform: RIDROM.SERIE II. In 2025, RIDROM renewed its Quality Seal in the 9th edition of the FECYT Journal Evaluation process and was awarded a mention for good editorial practices in gender equality (certificate no.: FECYT-658/2025). Likewise, in December 2025, it renewed its inclusion in the ANVUR Area 12 list of journals. In March 2026, RIDROM was accepted for indexing in the international SCOPUS (ELSEVIER) database and was integrated into the DIAMOND DISCOVERY HUB (DDH), which serves as the European reference catalogue for journals meeting the highest quality standards.
