Abstract

Knowledge Management (KM) at the university level is a key strategic element, which together with ICT contributes to the improvement of academic results. The objectives of the article are to analyze the GC of the teaching students, to know the degree of satisfaction with the CG processes and to establish possible differences according to gender, age and academic year. To collect the data, a questionnaire (DIGECO-SAT) was built, which includes the four main categories of KM (information management, transformation of information into knowledge, learning management and support of ICT tools for knowledge management) in addition to satisfaction. The participants were 398 undergraduate students of Primary Education Master’s Degree from six Spanish Public Universities. The results obtained show a good level of competence in the initial phases of information management and technology management, medium in the transformation of information into knowledge, and little in the proper processing of knowledge management at its highest level. Satisfaction is moderate in the skills required and high in the key competences, even without fully acquiring them.

Keywords: knowledge management, ICTs, satisfaction, teacher training, higher education.
